1-30 June 2023: Latinamerican Filmfestival in Cinemateket, Gothersgade, Copenhagen. On 12 June we show the Peruvian film Hatun Phaqcha (Healthy Earth), which is a film documentary highlights of the nutritional potential of Peru's native foods, the importance of its cultural heritage, and the need to ensure its survival. Hatun Phaqcha has won a series of awards, including the Biznaga de Plata, Jury Award for “Alimentos de España”, for best feature film in the Cinema Cocina space at the 26th Malaga Festival. The Peruvian Embassy in Stockhom has sponsored the Pisco Sour at the reception which starts at 20.00 in Asta Bar, Cinemateket. Please see more here on the link to the festival

Guaman Poma’s chronicle is one of the greatest treasures at the Royal Danish Library.The chronicle was written in 1612-15 by the Andes Indian Guaman Poma and is the only source detailing and indigenous Andes view of the Spanish conquest and the disastrous changes that followed in Peru in the decades after. In 2007 the 1,200-page, handwritten report with 400 full-page illustrations was recognised by UNESCO as part of the world’s irreplaceable cultural heritage.

The will be a tribute to Don Felipe Guamán de Ayala, the author of the famous Primer Gran Cronica de Buen Gobierno which is kept at the Royal Danish Libary with music by Grupo Cultural Los Andes del Peru en Dinamarca.
